A fire broke out in an employee dormitory of a company in Jimo City, Shandong Province in the morning. Five people were killed and one person was injured in the accident.
According to briefings, at 1:50 a.m. on the 1st, a fire broke out at a staff dormitory of Qingdao Shengyuan Packaging Products Co., Ltd. in Pudong Town, Jimo City. After receiving the report, the relevant leaders of Qingdao immediately rushed to the scene. Public security, fire protection, health, safety supervision and other relevant departments quickly organized the rescue. At 4:20 the Xu fire was completely extinguished.
It is understood that this fire was a deliberate arson case. At present, criminal suspects have been arrested and public security agencies are examining the case. Remedial work is ongoing.
