SAN FRANCISCO, Feb. 24, 2021 — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) has officially announced its acquisition of Innovyze, a leading provider of water infrastructure software based in Portland, Oregon. The deal, valued at $1 billion net of cash, is expected to close during Autodesk’s first quarter of Fiscal Year 2022. This strategic move strengthens Autodesk’s position as a key player in the digital transformation of the water industry, offering end-to-end solutions from design to operations.
The acquisition aligns with Autodesk's broader digital twin strategy, aiming to create more sustainable and efficient water systems. Innovyze brings a robust portfolio of modeling, simulation, and predictive analytics tools that help optimize water distribution networks, wastewater treatment plants, and flood protection systems. By integrating these capabilities with Autodesk’s own design and construction software—such as Civil 3D, InfraWorks, and the Autodesk Construction Cloud—engineers and utility companies can now make smarter decisions, reduce costs, and improve long-term planning.
