**From Dennis McGuire, Jr:** This is a 1986 Ford C8000 E-One pumper that was previously owned by the Godfrey Fire Protection District but is now available for sale. The unit is currently in reserve and still operational, though it's not in active service anymore. It features a Caterpillar 3208 diesel engine paired with an Allison automatic transmission, making it reliable and powerful. The truck is equipped with a 1250 GPM Hale pump, a 1000-gallon poly tank, and a 3KW Onan diesel generator. It also includes a variety of firefighting tools such as four 2-1/2" discharges, two 1-1/2" cross lays, a deck gun, a booster reel in the rear compartment, and two 2-1/2" suction lines along with two 6" intakes. All ladders (35', 14', and 10') are included, as well as a 5" hard suction and headsets in the cab. However, there are a few noted issues: the passenger window has a track problem when rolled all the way down, and the Kussmaul system is not functioning. Despite this, the vehicle passed its pump and ladder tests on September 17, 2020. The tires are in excellent condition, and the Federal Q siren is fully operational. This is a solid, well-maintained fire apparatus that’s still in good shape overall. It's listed on auction with a starting bid of $1,000, and the current high bid is $2,345. The auction ends on January 22, 2021, at 7:00 PM ET. There’s a buyer’s premium of 12.5%, and the minimum bid is $2,370. If you're looking for a dependable, used fire truck that's still functional and ready to go, this could be a great opportunity. Don’t miss out—check it out before the auction closes!
