Hey everyone,
Just got an update from Jeff Rudolph about a couple of old Seagrave fire engines that have some history with the McCook Fire Department. The second McCook, IL Seagrave has popped up for sale. It's a 1982 Seagrave 1250/500, which was previously known as Engine 1411. Right now, it’s sitting at a used car lot in Lake Villa. Interestingly enough, the other 1979 model of this same Seagrave is currently owned by the Lake Forest Fire Department and is being used as a parade vehicle.
I’ve attached a few photos below to give you an idea of what this fire engine looks like. These images were taken by Jeff Rudolph and Bill Friedrich. It’s always exciting to see these pieces of firefighting history still around and potentially finding new homes.
