Jinan Iron and Steel Group has taken full advantage of the global shipbuilding industry's shift toward China, significantly boosting its production and development of ship plates. In the first half of this year, Jigang produced a total of 584,200 tons of ship plates, representing a remarkable 197% increase compared to the same period last year. The company has climbed from fifth place in the national ranking in terms of production and sales volume. Among these, the output of high-value-added and high-strength ship plates exceeded 146,000 tons, making up 25% of the total ship plate production. This achievement has become a symbol of excellence for Jigang, enhancing its reputation in the industry.
Jigang’s ship plates are primarily used by shipbuilders in Shandong Province, the Bohai Rim region, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. They have been widely adopted by major shipyards such as Dalian Shipyard, Qingdao Beihai Ship Heavy Industry, Weihai Factory, and Yantai Raffles Shipyard. Additionally, the company has expanded its market reach to Southeast Asian countries like South Korea, Vietnam, and Singapore. With growing demand and a strong focus on quality, Jigang continues to strengthen its position in the global shipbuilding supply chain.
