Jinan Iron and Steel Group has actively taken advantage of the global shipbuilding industry's shift to China, significantly boosting its production and development of ship plates. In the first half of this year, Jigang produced a total of 584,200 tons of ship plates, representing a remarkable 197% increase compared to the same period last year. The company has risen from fifth place in the national rankings to a more prominent position in both production and sales. Among these, the output of high-value-added and high-strength ship plates exceeded 146,000 tons, making up 25% of total ship plate production. These advanced products have become a key symbol of Jigang’s technological strength and market competitiveness.
Jigang's ship plates are primarily supplied to Shandong Province, the Bohai Rim region, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang, and have been widely adopted by numerous shipbuilding companies, including Dalian Shipyard, Qingdao Beihai Ship Heavy Industry, Weihai Factory, and Yantai Raffles Shipyard. Additionally, the company has expanded its market reach to Southeast Asian countries such as South Korea, Vietnam, and Singapore. This growth reflects not only Jigang's strong production capabilities but also its growing reputation in the international shipbuilding sector. With continued investment in technology and quality improvement, the company is well-positioned to further strengthen its presence in the global market.
