This is from Larry Shapiro:

On Thursday, February 4th, 2016, a Still & Box Alarm was called in Chicago for a fire at a vacant 1 1/2-story frame house located at 6125 S. Justine. The fire spread to adjacent buildings—on one side was another vacant structure, and on the other, an occupied home. I arrived after the fire had been declared under control and stayed for part of the overhaul process. It looks like Squad 5A is out of service, so they're using a spare squad that had previously been taken out of rotation for a TV show.

It's always interesting to see how quickly the fire department responds and adapts when units are unavailable. The use of a spare squad shows their preparedness, even in unexpected situations. These photos give a good sense of what happened during the incident and the efforts made by the crews on the scene.
