Wuliangye spends 300 million Chongqing Auto Parts Factory

The reporter recently learned from multiple sources that Pushe, a subsidiary of Wuliangye Group, has officially announced plans to manufacture automotive molds and engine components in Jiulongpo District, Chongqing, with a total investment of 300 million yuan. This marks a significant step for the company as it expands its industrial footprint beyond its traditional beverage business. "In our five-year plan, we don't have any intention to produce complete vehicles at this stage," said Li Li, head of the company's office, on the 24th. He added that Pushe is currently focused on supporting automakers by supplying molds and engine parts. This strategic move allows the company to leverage its manufacturing expertise while avoiding the complexities of full vehicle production. Industry analysts believe that Wuliangye may be laying the groundwork to enter the automotive sector more formally through acquisitions or partnerships. This could serve as a bridge between its existing resources and new market opportunities. Wang Guochun, president of Wuliangye Group, previously mentioned that the company has the full capacity to produce vehicles and is seeking ways to utilize its surplus capital. "This is a natural progression for us," he said, highlighting the company’s long-term vision. Pushe Corporation, a wholly-owned independent subsidiary of Wuliangye Group, currently holds nearly 2 billion yuan in fixed assets. It has already made inroads into the automotive industry, securing orders worth 10 million yuan from Chongqing Chang'an and Japanese automakers two years ago. Starting from the production of parts and components, Pushe quickly achieved an annual production value exceeding 1 billion yuan. Today, the company supports major automotive manufacturers such as Chongqing Changan, Tianjin Toyota, Chengdu Toyota, and Guangzhou Honda. This growing partnership network underscores Pushe’s expanding role in the automotive supply chain and signals a promising future for Wuliangye’s diversification strategy.
