The reporter recently learned from insiders that Pushe, a subsidiary of Wuliangye Group, has officially announced plans to manufacture automotive molds and engine components in JiuLongpo, Chongqing, with a total investment of 300 million yuan. This marks a significant step for the company as it expands into the automotive sector. "In our five-year strategy, we do not currently plan to produce complete vehicles," said Li Li, head of the company's office, on the 24th. Instead, Pushe is focusing on supporting automakers by supplying molds and engine parts. This strategic move highlights the company’s intention to play a supportive role in the industry rather than directly competing with major car manufacturers. Industry analysts believe that Wuliangye may further solidify its position in the auto sector through acquisitions or partnerships with established automotive companies, potentially leading to a more formal entry into the industry. Wang Guochun, president of Wuliangye Group, previously mentioned that the company has fully developed the necessary production capacity and is seeking new investment avenues for its surplus capital. This shift is seen as a natural evolution for the company, given its long-standing presence in manufacturing. Pushe Corporation, a wholly-owned independent subsidiary of Wuliangye Group, currently holds nearly 2 billion yuan in fixed assets. It has already made a name for itself in the automotive supply chain. Two years ago, Pushe secured orders worth 10 million yuan from Chongqing Changan and Japanese automakers, marking its initial foray into the automotive industry through parts and component manufacturing. The company quickly grew, achieving an annual production value exceeding 1 billion yuan. Today, Pushe provides support to major automotive brands such as Chongqing Changan, Tianjin Toyota, Chengdu Toyota, and Guangzhou Honda, reinforcing its growing influence in the sector.
