Dennis McGuire, Jr. recently visited Ferrara Fire Apparatus and discovered two units currently in production. You can view them here.
He shared that one of the units is destined for the **Calumet Park Fire Department** as part of MABAS 22. This will be their first-ever 100-foot tower ladder, built on an HME chassis. The new unit will replace both a ladder truck and a pumper, which have already been traded in. This marks a significant upgrade for the department, enhancing their aerial capabilities.
The second unit is a pumper for the **Huntley Fire Department**, serving both MABAS 2 and MABAS 5. They’ve ordered a top-mount pumper on a Ferrara Ember chassis, equipped with a 1,500-GPM pump and 750 gallons of water. This new engine is currently undergoing pump tests at the facility.
Fire Service, Inc., the local dealer representing Wheeled Coach Ambulances, has shared photos of several recent deliveries.
Thanks to Martin Nowak for spotting the new Wheeled Coach units. These updates highlight ongoing improvements across fire departments in the region, showing a commitment to modernizing equipment and enhancing emergency response capabilities.
