This is from Larry Shapiro:

Here are some photos from a three-car collision that occurred on Milwaukee Avenue at Woodlands Parkway on June 6th, 2019, in Vernon Hills. There were multiple people in the three vehicles involved, and all of them signed releases at the scene. According to reports, the accident happened when one driver pulled over to the curb while a Lincolnshire-Riverwoods Fire Protection District ambulance was heading north to a hospital with a patient from a separate incident. The first car didn't stop, causing a rear-end collision with the second vehicle. Then, a third car crashed into the second one, resulting in a chain reaction.

The images show the aftermath of the crash, with emergency responders already on the scene. It’s clear that everyone involved was cooperative and gave consent for the photos to be taken. While the cause of the accident seems to have been a sudden stop by one driver, the situation highlights how quickly things can escalate on the road. I’ve included several shots of the area, the ambulance, and the damaged vehicles so you can get a full sense of what happened that day.
